Sanctioned crypto exchanges, the list for October 2026

Exchanges, swap services, tokens and mixers under sanctions of the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom, with dates and sources. Updated as new sanctions packages come out.

Checked on October 20, 2026

A coin that passed through a venue on this list counts as “tainted”. Send it to an ordinary exchange and the deposit can be held for a check, and the account restricted. Why that happens and what to do if it happens to you is explained in Academy lesson 8.2, “Where not to send crypto from” (in Russian for now). This page is the list itself: who was sanctioned, when and by whom, with links to the primary sources.

The list is updated when a new sanctions package comes out. The date of the last check and the change log are at the foot of the page.

For residents of the European Union. Since 2026, EU persons may not deal with any crypto service established in Russia or Belarus, not only the ones listed below. That is the EU’s 20th sanctions package, adopted on 23 April 2026.

How to read the list

Sanctions are imposed by different countries, and legally each list binds only that country’s citizens and companies. For the check on an exchange that makes no difference: a venue sanctioned by any major jurisdiction gives a coin high risk, and the deposit is held whatever passport you hold. So all three are here.

Operating venues under sanctions

The most surprising part of the list. These venues are well known and keep operating, so they are easy to mistake for ordinary ones.

Where to check yourself

Lists change, and this one will go stale too. Before moving a large sum, check the official sources:

How to check a specific address before a transfer, and what to do if a tainted coin has already arrived, is covered in the practical part of lesson 8.2 (in Russian for now).
